Fresh and delicious food cooked by genuine, hardworking folks. Owner was extremely kind and gave us a side of spring rolls on the house before our main meal was served. Will be back to try their other dishes!

What a wonderful dinner and experience. The owner and chef are such humble people, making us feel so welcome and well looked after. All our meals tasted so authentic and fresh. They catered so well for our children providing kids plates, and also making a special birthday dessert for my brother’s birthday. Such a memorable experience, highly recommend and will return.

What a special place! My boyfriend and I have lived in Canberra for over 4 years and only just came across this gem, wish we found it earlier.
The ambiance is cosy and nostalgic. The food is authentic, delicious, and very reasonably priced. The generous portions are perfect for sharing! A serve of char koay teow and wonton soup fed two very easily.
The customer service is amazing beyond words. A sweet brother and sister duo have run this restaurant for over 20 years. The brother is a talented chef with decades of experience and the sister is a front-of-house wonder, she is so kind and attentive. We had such a lovely conversation with her whilst waiting for our order; honestly, I wouldn't have minded if the food took longer, she was a treat to speak with.
Please come try this place, you are guaranteed to leave with full hearts and even fuller bellies!

Upon my visit today, I was met with exceptional service from a highly accommodating and pleasant individual. She adeptly guided us through the menu, assisting in the selection of exquisite appetizers and main courses. Her 25 years of experience in the industry were clearly reflected in the superior quality of the cuisine. Notably, she thoughtfully left the lids off our takeaway containers to prevent steam from compromising the food's texture. She described the culinary style as "Hong Kong Style" Chinese, an assessment that was undeniably evident in the dishes presented. Having resided in this area for 18 years, I can confidently state that this establishment offers the finest Chinese cuisine in Dickson. I anticipate a prompt return.

We visited East Kitchen with a group of friends and had such a lovely experience! The owner and her brother were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The food was delicious, everything we ordered was great, but the standout for us was definitely the squid. Perfectly cooked and full of flavour!
On top of the great food and service, the prices were very affordable, which made the whole experience even better. I’d totally recommend this place to anyone looking for good food, friendly vibes, and great value. Will definitely be back !

I visited today with my family, and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The whole dining experience was fantastic. The staff were incredibly warm and hospitable, and we later learned that the restaurant has been run by a brother–sister duo for many years, which makes the place feel even more special. The food was genuinely authentic and absolutely delicious every dish was full of flavour and prepared with so much care. We left completely satisfied and happy.
Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

We chose this place based on the reviews, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The service was excellent, one of the friendly staff members helped us choose our dishes, which made our dinner even more enjoyable.
The food was delicious! We ordered the beef on a hot pan, veggie gyoza, and chicken chow mein. The beef was the standout dish, full of flavours and quite spicy, even though we asked for mild, so keep that in mind. Paired with the noodles, the flavor combination was rich and colorful.
The total came to $61, and we even had leftovers to take home. Great value for what we got.
I’d absolutely recommend this spot to my friends. Just a heads-up: there might be a bit of a wait while your food is being prepared, so come ready to relax.

Hubby and I had dinner here back in November of 2024. The food was delightful and the portion size was enormous! The owner gave us a free starter because she thought we were made to wait too long for our food! NO WAY! Her worries were unfounded as the wait was roughly the same as in any other restaurant. She was such a dear woman with a wonderful laugh, we didn't want to upset her any further so we graciously accepted the offer. She kept coming over to us, asking if everything was alright and it was. This restaurant is owned and run by a very lovely woman. It was clean, well-presented and not at all pretentious! When next in Canberra we will definitely eat here again! Thank you for making our dining experience one to remember. <3 10/10!
